Obituary

Steven C.Mayerchak,65,of Charleroi,died Saturday,Jan.25,1975,at 4:20 a.m.in Eye and Ear Hospital,Pittsburgh,following an extended illness. Mr.Mayerchak,who was born in Charleroi on Oct.29,1909,was a retired employee of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of St.Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church of Charleroi. He was preceded in death by his wife,Mary Regula Mayerchak,on Jan.1,1970. Survivors include one daughter,Mrs.Dennis (Joan) Zucconi of Belle Vernon,two brothers,August Mayerchak of Charleroi and Charles Mayerchak of Monessen,five sisters,Mrs.Cecelia Cotton of Country Club Road,Carroll Twp.,Mrs.Ann Konhauser of Ford City,Mrs.Augustine Venneri of Charleroi,Mrs.Elizabeth Gluch of Belle Vernon and Margaret Mayerchak of Charleroi and three grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home,Third St.,and Fallowfield Ave,Charleroi,from 1 until 4 p.m.and 7 until 9 p.m.on Sunday and Monday,Jan.26 and 27,1975. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.on Tuesday,Jan.28,1975,followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St.Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church of Charleroi at 10 a.m.,with the Rev.Andrew Bialobok,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C.Slezak,funeral director in charge.
