Steve Pokol;77;of Edison;N.J.formerly of Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Jan.17;1988;at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born March 10;1910 in Hungary. He was retired in 1965 from Caster Rheem Co.of Edison;N.J.;with 20 years service. He was preceded in death by his wife;Helen Hegedus Pokol in January;1985. Survivors include one son;Steve Paul Pokol of DeLand;Fla.;one daughter;Brenda of Parlin;N.J.;two brothers;Frank and Ben;both of Donora;five sisters;Ester Corrado;Betty Pokol and Rose Ludwig;all of Fords;N.J.;and Grace Reese and Laurie Egry of Woodbridge;N.J.;four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 10 a.m.;the time of services;at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City. Services will be held in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Cromwell of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
