Steve Planey Sr.;Gillespie R.D.1;Fayette City;died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday;July 23;1972;at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Czechoslovakia Jan.10;1882. He was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Rite Church of Charleroi. He was a retired coal miner. He is survived by four sons;George of Perryopolis R.D.2;John and Michael of Fayette City R.D.1;and Steve Jr.;of West Newton;two daughters;Katherine at home and Mrs.Norman (Margaret) Foglia of Belle Vernon;10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where a parastas service will be at 7:30 p.m.Tuesday and Blessing Service at 9:30 a.m.Wednesday;followed by Divine Liturgy at Holy Ghost Byzantine Rite Church in Charleroi at 10 a.m. with the Rev.Andrew Chura officiating. Burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
