Steve Karnitz;83;of Allenport;died Monday;Sept.17;1979;in Uniontown Hospital. He was born Aug.20;1896;in Yugoslavia;son of the late Joseph and Mary Swantek Kranitz. He had been retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Preceding him in death are his wife;Mary;in 1973 and two nephews;George Seman Jr.;in 1976;an Andrew Seman Sr.;in 1977. Surviving are four nieces;Mrs.Anna Matway of Perryopolis;Mrs.Sue Beeler of Arnold City;Mrs.Betty Houseman of Fairhope and Mrs.Helen Bilsky of Belle Vernon;and one nephew;Paul Seman Sr.of Arnold City. He was the last member of his immediate family. Friends are being received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;after 7 p.m.Tuesday and until 11 a.m.Thursday;when a Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home;in charge of the Rev.Thomas G.Rinn;pastor of the Holy Spirit Church;Fayette City. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
