A Belle Vernon man became ill and died while at work on Saturday;Oct.1;1966. Steve J.Kravec;47;of 614 Broad Ave.;became ill and reported to the hospital at the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He died shortly after at 12:01 p.m.of a heart attack. Mr.Kravec;who was employed by Pittsburgh Steel 21 years;worked in the construction department of the BOF plant. A veteran of World War II;he was a member of St.Sebastian;s Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. He had lived in Belle Vernon three years;moving there from Monessen. Mr.Kravec was born at Stockdale on Aug.3;1918. Surviving are his widow;Madeline (Terace) Kravec;four brothers;Andrew of Akron;Ohio;John;Joseph and Frank of Stockdale. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;where a blessing service will take place Tuesday;Oct.4 at 9:30 a.m.followed by requiem Mass in St.Sebastian’s R.C.Church;Belle Vernon;at 10 a.m. The Rev.Martin J.O’Toole;pastor;will officiate.
