Steve Samek Sr.of 318 Krolik Ave.;Arnold City;died Thursday;June 11;1964;at 6 a.m. in the Washington Hospital;Washington;Pa.;after a lengthy illness. Mr.Samek;a retired coal miner;was a member of St.Edward’s R.C.Church of Fayette City;its Holy Name Society and president of the Rosary Society. He is survived by one son;Steve Jr.of Arnold City;two daughters;Anna at home;and Mrs.Mary Muzina of Strathers;Ohio;one sister;Mrs.Marie Debrosky of New York;one brother;John of Arnold City;and six grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City;where a prayer service will be held Monday;June 15;at 9:30 a.m.followed by Requiem Mass at St.Edward’s R.C.Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.William Gavron officiating.
