Obituary

Stephen A. (Biggie) Fredrick of Belle Vernon (Fairhope),died Monday,Feb. 27,1984,at 2:38 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital.  He was 73. Mr. Fredrick was born in Monessen on Nov. 10,1915,a son of the late Stephen and Rose Frketic Fredrick. A lifelong resident of Fairhope;he was a member of the St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,and was self-employed as a coal stripper and mine owner.  He retired in 1976 as a Pennsylvania state mine inspector. He was a member of the Charleroi Elks and various other organizations. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a sister,Fanny Markish. Survivors include his wife,Betty Kostelac Fredrick;a daughter, Cathy Fredrick Vargo,at home;a brother,Leonard Fredrick of California;three sisters,Mrs. Rose Gamble of St. Petersburg,Fla.;Frances Fredrick of Florida and Mrs. Ann Binninni of California. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sebastian's Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Leonard J. Parzunski Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
