Stephen A. Kostelac, 59, of Fayette City, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. A son of Rudolph and the late Beatrice Haggerty Kostelac, he was born in North Charleroi on Aug. 18, 1955. Steve was employed as a welder for Aquatech International until 2008. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeremy Staley of Newell; granddaughter, Keira Staley of Newell; father, Rudolph Kostelac of Fayette City; former wife and close friend, Karen Bethem Kostelac; and a sister, Antoinette Vezzani and her family of North Huntingdon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Kostelac on Dec. 26, 2008. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300,www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 4 p.m. with Msgr. Roger Statnick officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery at a later date.
