Obituary

Stella Sisca,77,of 619 Grant St.,North Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Oct.31,1996,in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Oct.15,1919,in Canonsburg,she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Alice Banahasky. A resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 50 years,Mrs.Sisca was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She was a veteran of World War II,having served as a sergeant in the Women's Auxiliary Corps. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Samuel J.Sisca,who died Feb.17,1995,two brothers,Stanley and Walter Banahasky,and one sister,Agnes Milton. Surviving are one son,Samuel J.Sisca Jr.of Belle Vernon,one daughter and son-in-law,Sandra and Dennis Betham of Douglassville,two brothers,Paul Banahasky of Elizabeth and Edward Banahasky of Finleyville,four sisters,Sophie Urkevich of McKeesport and Helen McNatt,Mary Zumza and Alice Fircak,all of Finleyville,and two grandchildren,Amy and Bryan Betham. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
