Stella Sisca;77;of 619 Grant St.;North Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Oct.31;1996;in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Oct.15;1919;in Canonsburg;she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Alice Banahasky. A resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 50 years;Mrs.Sisca was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She was a veteran of World War II;having served as a sergeant in the Women’s Auxiliary Corps. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Samuel J.Sisca;who died Feb.17;1995;two brothers;Stanley and Walter Banahasky;and one sister;Agnes Milton. Surviving are one son;Samuel J.Sisca Jr.of Belle Vernon;one daughter and son-in-law;Sandra and Dennis Betham of Douglassville;two brothers;Paul Banahasky of Elizabeth and Edward Banahasky of Finleyville;four sisters;Sophie Urkevich of McKeesport and Helen McNatt;Mary Zumza and Alice Fircak;all of Finleyville;and two grandchildren;Amy and Bryan Betham. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
