Obituary

Stella Barnot Plewniak of 1375 Fayette Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,Sept.23,1985,at 8:45 a.m. in the Waddington Nursing Home,Fayette City. She was 91. Mrs.Plewniak was born April 23,1894,in Poland. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,she was a member of St.Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church,Fairhope. She was preceded in death by her parents,a daughter,Josephine Plewniak,her first huaband,Joseph Barnot on Jan.8,1938,and by her second husband,Joseph Plewniak on July 1,1975. Survivors include three sons,Andrew Barnot of Fairhope,John Barnot of Belle Vernon and Steve Barnot of West Brownsville,a daughter,Mrs.Glenn (Jennie) Harold of Washington,Pa.,a stepson,Walter Plewniak of Belle Vernon,two stepdaughters,Mrs.Casey (Lena) Pawlak and Mrs.Jeannette Pawlak,both of Bayonne,N.J.,two sisters in Poland,18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a prayer service will be held Thursday,Sept.26 at 9:15 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church,Fairhope. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 will hold services Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
