Obituary

Finanicial worries were believed responsible for the suicide of Stanley Olesevesky,21,of 705 Fallowfield avenue, who fired a 30-30 rifle bullet thru his chest in a secluded woods just off the Twilight road in Speers. He married just three weeks ago and is believed to have ended his life early Wednesday morning,September 3,1941.  He came home last Tuesday night, dressed in work clothes to go to his job at Allenport mill and left the house after his wife packed his lunch at 11:45 p.m. He did not go to work however but, with the rifle in his possession, walked to Speers.  He turned off the Twilight road and went into the old German picnic grounds.  There he held the rifle against the left side of his chest and fired one shot.  The bullet missed the heart but cut a main artery and death must have been instantaneous. Mr. Olesevesky was born in Charleroi in 1920 and was well known.  He and his wife had not yet gone to housekeeping. The remains are at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning,September 6.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Francis C. Slezak is funeral director.
