Stanley Kroskie, 54, Arnold City,was fatally injuried while at work about 6:30 a.m.on Friday morning, April 19,1963 at Banning Mine No. 3,Republic Steel Corp.,at Van Meter. A coal car jumped the tracks inside the mine,pinning the victim between the car and a wall of coal. Mr. kroskie was a member of St. Edward's R.C.Church, Fayette City. Surviving are his widow, Catherine;two daughters, Mrs. John (Wanda) Sever of Washington and Kathleen Kroskie at home; one son, Larry of Adamsburg; three brothers, Frank,Walter and John,all of Arnold City; three sisters, Mrs. Martin (Rose) Muzina, Mrs. Michael (Helen) Worry,both of Arnold City and Mrs. John (Mary) Gerdenic of Pittsburgh. Friends are being received at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City. Prayer there on Monday at 9 a.m. will be followed by Requiem High Mass at 930 a.m. in the St. Edward's R.C.Church,Fayette City,in charge of the Rev. C.W. Ribick. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W. McCrory of Fayette City is the funeral director.
