Stanley Duda;81;of Naomi Road;Fayette City R.D.1;died Tuesday;March 9;1999;in the emergency room of Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Born Feb.15;1918;in Arnold City;Washington Township;Fayette County;he was a son of the late Frank and Frances Oleszkowicz Duda. He was a veteran of World War II;serving in the U.S.Army Air Corps. Mr.Duda was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;Monessen plant. He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Helen Sookey Duda;Mary 17;1981. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law;Andrew and Sheila Duda of Fayette City R.D.;two daughters and a son-in-law;Frances Radziwon of Fayette City R.D.and Dian and Andrew Sirko of Carneige;a sister;Christine Dempsy of Fayette City R.D.;two brothers;Walter Duda of Fayette City R.D.and Edward Duda of New Jersey and five grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home;334 Main St.;Fayette City;where a Prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.Leonard J.McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A pasish wake service will be held Friday at 3 p.m.in the funeral home. The Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
