Obituary

Stanley A.Kemp,74,of Charleroi,died Friday,Nov.5,1993,at 6:55 p.m. in Haven Crest Inc.,Carroll Township. He was born Dec.15,1918,in Glen Lyon,a son of the late Francis and Anna Walczyk Kemp. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army Air Corps as a bombardier. He was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the American Legion Post 22,Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 167,Italia Unita Club,Russian Club and Slovak Catholic Sokol,all of Charleroi. He was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Allenport Plant. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law,Stan A.and Pam Kemp Jr.of Sterling,Va.,one daughter and son-in-law,Mary Ann and Gerry Woods of Congers,N.Y.,and five grandchildren,Scott,Brian and Mark Kemp,Christian and Ashley Woods. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,where a blessing service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
