Sophie (Sally) Foster Atkinson;78;of 117 Allen Ave.;Belle Vernon;(Rostraver Township);died Sunday;June 14;1998;at 4:17 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Dec.20;1919;in Elizabeth;N.J.;a daughter of the late Jack and Margaret Foster. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community and was a member of Lynnwoood Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law;John and Jessica Atkinson Jr.of Sunrise;Fla.;and Louis Atkinson at home;one daughter and son-in-law;Sherry and Raymond Milchovich of Danville;Calif.;seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;John Atkinson;in 1976 and one sister;Dee Haught. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m.with the Rev.Donald Chudd;pastor of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church;officiating.
