Born in Fremont on May 22;1911;she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Victoria Bednarski Markovitch. Mrs.Raymond had lived in this area all her life. She was a member of St.Jerome’s Catholic Church;Charleroi. Two brothers;Martin and John Markovitch;preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband;Steve Raymond;one son;Steve Raymond Jr.of Monongahela;three daughters;Ann Marie;at home;Mrs.Frank (Sophia) Belczyk of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Lloyd (Patricia) Halinka of Charleroi;three brothers;Joseph Markovitch;Stanley Markovitch and Walter Halliday;all of Charleroi;three sisters;Mrs.John (Mary) Bolchak of Fayette City;Mrs.George (Helen) Gidick and Mrs.Albert (Laura) Ornot;both of Charleroi;and eight grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home;Charleroi;from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in St.Jerome’s Catholic Church;Charleroi;with Msgr.William Maher officiating.
