Mrs. Sophie Makowski of Naomi, Fayette City R.D.1, died Monday,Aug. 14,1978 at 5:15 a.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Makowski was born March 11,1892,in Poland. She was a member of the Polish National Catholic Church,Fairhope; P.N.A. Lodge of Arnold City,and S.P.O.N.I.A.of Scranton. Her husband, Joseph Makowski,preceded her in death in 1964. Survivors include three sons, Leo Makovsky of Fayette City R.D.1,Ted Makovsky of Belle Vernon and Edward Makovsky of Pleasant Hills,Ore.; four grandchildren,three step-grandchildren,four great-grandchildren and six great-step-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m.in the Polish National Church,Fairhope. The Rev. Felix Pyzowski will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Hhoward W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
