Sophie C. Nusser,81, of belle Vernon,Rostraver township, died tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at 6:30 a.m. at the home of her daughter. Born Oct. 25,1917,in Belle Vernon,she was a daughter of the late Martin and Agnes Golema Antal Sr. A life-long resident of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Nusser was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522 and the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law,Carol and David Shernisky of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); one brother, Joseph Antal of Belle Vernon; two sisters,Elizabeth Lucas and Stella Trenk,both of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren,David and wife Donna Shernisky,Diane Shernisky and James and wife Cathy Shrenisky; and one great-granddaughter,Hannah Nicole Shernisky. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Nusser,on Jan. 14,1978;three brothers, Martin Antal Jr.,John Antal and Stephen Antal and four sisters,Anna Cernicky,Helen Basser, Mary Leonard and Pauline Antal. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where A Prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev. John R. Cindric,V.F.,pastor,as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Legion of Mary and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522 will recite the Rosary Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
