Sophia Danko Mathieu,46,of 500 Third St.,Monessen,died Thursday, Jan.4,1962 at 9:30 a.m. following an operation in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born in Monessen,Feb. 29,1915,and was a member of St. Leonard R.C.Church of Monessen and the Franco-Belgium Ladies Auxiliary. Survivintg are her husband,Alphonse; one daughter,Mr. william (Sophia) Modrak,at home,and one grandchild. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home in Monessen.
