Sophie B. Phillips Lynn; 93; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Saturday; Oct. 29; 2011; at 8:55 p.m. at Victoria House; Monessen. Born Dec. 11; 1917; in Republic; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Bester Phillips. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mrs. Lynn was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was a retired housekeeper. The last surviving member of her immediate family; she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Hamilton H. Lynn Jr. and wife; Mary; of Louisville; Ky.; five daughters and three sons-in-law; Mary Ann and Rudy LaBraska; of DuBois; Betty Jean Boord; of Charleroi; Roberta and William Franks; of Belle Vernon; Veronica Toman; of Monessen; and Gloria and Ronald Alonzo; of Belle Vernon; who was also her caregiver; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Hamilton H. Lynn Sr.; on June 5; 1988; two sons; Robert Lynn and John Lynn; and numerous brothers and sisters. Visitation was held Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick; pastor; as celebrant at the LEONARD J.
