Shirley D. "Beads" Chew, 88, Rostraver Township, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, in Jefferson Regional Health Center. She was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Denbo, Pa., a daughter of the late George Bloyer and Ellen Mae Hyatt Bloyer Fowkes. She was a member of First Christian Church of Monessen where she loved to sing and the church's bowling league and prior member of two Park Plan Card Clubs and the Park Plan Sewing Club. Surviving are her daughter, Janet L. Rotolo; son, Glenn A. Chew Jr.; grandchildren, Carissa "Cris" Rotolo and Richard Rotolo; great-grandson, Gage J. Stewart Rotolo; and a sister-in-law, Joycelyn Bloyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn A. Chew and siblings, Marilyn Bloyer Bongiorno Hannen, Parke S. Bloyer, and Alverna Bloyer. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., Family Owned and Operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2015. Services will be held at First Christian Church of Monessen, Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Conrad Auel officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
