Shirley B. Evans, 72, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Sunday at Clare Bridge of Adams, Seven Fields, after an illness. She was born Aug. 1, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Anna Shoub Frazier. She was a licensed practical nurse and had worked for the Veterans Administration in Aspinwall and on Highland Drive. She had also worked at Richland Medical Center and Grahams’ Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, the Mars AARP and a former member of Mars Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include a daughter, Karen L. Evans of Valencia; two sons, Gregory J. Evans of Spring Mills and James “Hap” Evans of Valencia; a brother, Vincent Frazier of Carnegie and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. EVANS — Friends of Shirley B. Evans, who died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donn Ed officiating. Burial will be at North Belle Vernon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, or Quality EMS, Brickyard Road, Mars.
