Obituary

Sherri R. Echart, 47, of Belle Vernon went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 27, 2014, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late James L. Echart, who passed away on June 2, 1998, and Erma G. Lynn Echart, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon, she was born in North Charleroi on July 2, 1966. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Sherri was a member of the Pricedale Union Church and graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School. A former employee of Hoss',s Restaurant, she had worked from 1989 to 2009. An avid reader, she loved music, movies, board games and studying about the Lord. Despite her health issues, she fulfilled a longtime dream of attending a Cher concert this past spring. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include one brother, James Echart of Greensburg, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce and Dr. Robert Kantor of Harrisburg and Debra DeVito of Philadelphia, one niece, Katie Kantor, and two nephews, Andrew Kantor and Anthony DeVito. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Echart in 1976. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, ,http://www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor James Mimidis officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. If friends wish, memorial donations may be made to the Pricedale Union Church.
