Obituary

Sharon L. White Grier, 70, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, passed away quietly Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 1:45 p.m. at her home following a long illness. Born April 1, 1944, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late William and Maude Sturgis White. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Grier was Presbyterian by faith and was the former owner and operator of the Belle Vernon Dairy Queen for 28 years which she ran with her husband, Warren. She is survived by her husband, Warren C. Grier to whom she was married 48 years; sister, Terri White of Belle Vernon; brother-in-law, Allen Grier; stepsister, Patricia Nandor; stepbrother, Tom Murt and wife, Mary Lou. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Helen Murt White; and several aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Suzanne Z. Currie, pastor, of First Presbyterian Church officiating.
