Mrs. Seraphine Gerard,aged 69 years,died Thursday night,February 22,1934,at 8 o'clock in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,where she had been a patient for several days. Death resulting from the effects of a paralytic stroke. Mrs.Gerard,widow of Emil Gerard,whose passing occurred in 1925,is survived by one son,Maurice Gerard,of North Charleroi;one daughter,Mrs.Eugene Merrer,of Manchester,Conn.;six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She had been a resident of North Charleroi borough for twenty-six years. Funeral services will be held Sunday,February 25,at 1 p.m.at her late home,548 Conrad avenue,North Charleroi,with interment following in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rev.G.Meade Dougherty,pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Chruch will be in charge.
