Mrs. Sarah Pearce Byron,a former Monessen resident,died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Peters,of 1217 Worthington avenue,Clairton,Tuesday, Feb. 26,1957,at 7:15 p.m. Mrs. Byron was born in South Wales,June 8,1873 and was a member of the Evangelical United Brethern Church of Monessen. She is survived by two sons, Bert Pearce,of Long Branch and George Pearce of Rostraver Township;two daughters, Mrs.Joseph (Louise) Gido of Monessen and Mrs. Raymond (Bertha) Peters. Seventeen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. Friends are being received at the Slezak Funeral Home,Charleroi,where funeral services will be held Friday,March 1,at 2 p.m. Rev. Lester M. Crum,pastor of the Evangelical United Brethern Church of Monessen will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C. Slezak,funeral director.
