Mrs. Sarah Basile,72,of 9 Grand St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday morning,Feb. 17,1958 at 4 o'clock in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mrs. Basile was born in Italy,July 5,1886. She was a member of the St. Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon and a member of the Anita Garibaldi Lodge, Belle Vernon. She had lived in Belle Vernon for 56 years. Surviving are her husband, Joseph;five sons, Samuel and James,both at home;Roland of Belle Vernon R.D.3,Ross of Belle Vernon and Anthony of Carlisle; four daughters, Mrs. Ross (Carrie) Flora,Mrs. Nick (Mary) Mate,Mrs. Rose Greco and Mrs. John (Margaret) Harrison,all of Belle Vernon;a brother,James Rogers of Belle Vernon and a sister,Mrs. Frank Marasco of Belle Vernon. Thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Friends are being received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon after 7 p.m. Monday. Visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.. Services will be held Wednesday,Feb. 19,at 10 a.m. from the St. Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. The Very Rev. Henry Hanse,church pastor,will officiate at Requiem High Mass. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
