Obituary

Sarah K. Sally Ehlers, 70, formerly of North Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 26, 2013, in her home. A daughter of the late Isabelle Mitchell Roberts and Thomas McGrail, she was born in Duquesne on June 30, 1943. Sally was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and the Grindstone Lions Club, where she was a Melvin Jones Award recipient. Along with her late husband, she was the owner and operator of the former Ehlers Auto Parts in Belle Vernon, Greensburg and Monongahela. Survivors include her aunt, Janet Gallatin of Virginia Beach, Va., her dear friends, Melanie and Cathy Yu of Clinton, N.J., Msgr. Roger Statnick, Clara Clegg, Sue and Shelby Ferguson II, and her loving dogs, Ziva, Kelly, Eneen, Abbey Sue and Tucker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Ernie Ehlers on March 14, 2010. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, http://www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A blessing service will be in the funeral home 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home 3 p.m. Monday led by members of St. Sebastian Parish. The Grindstone Lions will meet in the funeral home to hold services 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
