Obituary

Sarah E.Trickett,85,of Rogers City,Mich.,formerly of the Belle Vernon area,died Tuesday,Dec.26,2000,in Alpena General Hospital,Alpena,Mich. She was born in Rostraver Township on Aug.26,1915,the daughter of the late David Sylvester and Sarah Elizabeth (Pore) Scholl. Mrs.Trickett was a homemaker and loved to bake pies,make quilts and play cards. A member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church in Rostraver Township,she was a member of the Alpha and Omega Class at the church,served as an elder from 1972 to 1975,and as a deacon from 1992 to 1995. She was also a member of Rostraver Grange 919. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law,Kaye L.and John Houk of Rogers City,Mich.,three grandchildren,Jason Trickett Lammers,Richard Houk and wife,Connie,and Michele Houk,and two great grandsons,Seth and Nathan Houk. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,C.Ewing Trickett,on March 12,1982. She was the last surviving member of her family,preceded in death by four brothers,Robert B.Scholl,William C.Scholl,Roy S.Scholl and David P.Scholl,and three sisters,Margaret H.Rankin,Mary Ruth Scholl Stump and Emma B.Fettik. Friends will be received Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.in the JAMES C.STUMP FUNERAL HOME,INC.,580 Circle Drive,Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m.,with the Rev.Richard Klein,pastor of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church,officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
