Sarah E.Trickett;85;of Rogers City;Mich.;formerly of the Belle Vernon area;died Tuesday;Dec.26;2000;in Alpena General Hospital;Alpena;Mich. She was born in Rostraver Township on Aug.26;1915;the daughter of the late David Sylvester and Sarah Elizabeth (Pore) Scholl. Mrs.Trickett was a homemaker and loved to bake pies;make quilts and play cards. A member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church in Rostraver Township;she was a member of the Alpha and Omega Class at the church;served as an elder from 1972 to 1975;and as a deacon from 1992 to 1995. She was also a member of Rostraver Grange 919. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law;Kaye L.and John Houk of Rogers City;Mich.;three grandchildren;Jason Trickett Lammers;Richard Houk and wife;Connie;and Michele Houk;and two great grandsons;Seth and Nathan Houk. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;C.Ewing Trickett;on March 12;1982. She was the last surviving member of her family;preceded in death by four brothers;Robert B.Scholl;William C.Scholl;Roy S.Scholl and David P.Scholl;and three sisters;Margaret H.Rankin;Mary Ruth Scholl Stump and Emma B.Fettik. Friends will be received Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.in the JAMES C.STUMP FUNERAL HOME;INC.;580 Circle Drive;Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Richard Klein;pastor of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church;officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
