Sarah Bednarczyk; 83; of Fayette City; went to be with the Lord on Tuesday; Jan. 14; 2014; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Saverio and Mary Bitonti Zema; she was born in Belle Vernon on Nov. 24; 1930. A former member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church; Sarah was currently a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the Annita Garibaldi Society. A devoted wife; mother and grandmother; Sarah; the heart of the family; dedicated her life to caring not only for her family; but many others. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was an avid card player. Sarah will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include three sons and three daughters-in-law; David and De Bednarczyk of Rostraver; Leonard Bednarczyk of Fayette City; Paul and Mary Bednarczyk of Fayette City; and Helen June Bednarczyk of Carroll Township; one daughter and son-in-law; Kathleen B. and George Molesky of Belle Vernon; 12 grandchildren; Michael Bednarczyk; David Bednarczyk; Jason Bednarczyk; Brian Bednarczyk; Mark Molesky; Maria Molesky; Sadie Bednarczyk; Elaine Molesky Smearman; Rebecca Molesky; Barbra Bednarczyk; Daniel Bednarczyk; and Erica Bednarczyk; and 11 great-grandchildren; Bishop Michael Bednarczyk; Cleo Bednarczyk; Carina Bednarczyk; Sienna Bednarczyk; Emma-Jean Molesky; Samantha Molesky; Charlotte Rose Molesky; Jaxon Marzec; Chevy Lane Bednarczyk; Gemma Rose Bednarczyk; and Owen Brian Bednarczyk. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Peter J. Bednarczyk in 1993; one son; Peter Bednarczyk in 2009; four brothers; Saverio Zema; Albert Zema; Joseph Cimino and Albert Zema; and two sisters; Mary Solomon and Rosemarie Beketic. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m. led by members of St. Sebastian Parish followed by an Annita Garbaldi service at 3:15 p.m.
