The Memorial will begin at 11 a.m.;and will be in charge of the church pastor;Rev.Zenas Miner. The evening service will be held at 7:30.
(FROM MARCH 16;1948 CHARLEROI MAIL-NEWSPAPER) Staff Sergeant Samuel M.Wilkinson;age 22 years;of Belle Vernon;who served with the A.A.F..with the 406rd Bomb Squadron;43rd Bomb Group;died in the Southwest Pacific area;September 7;1943. His body will arrive in Charleroi;Wednesday;March 17;1948 at 9:56 a.m. and friends will be received at the home of his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Russell Wilkinson;Grove Avenue;Lynnwood. Services will be held Friday;March 19;1948;at 2:30 p.m. in the Free Methodist church;with Rev.John Lee in charge. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 659;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Turner is the funeral director.
