Samuel Vargo; 93; of Fayette City; passed away Tuesday; April 17; 2012; in his residence. He was born Oct. 10; 1918; in Grindstone; a son of the late Andrew Vargo and the late Julia Gesko Vargo. Sam was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; having served with the 236th Signal Operating Co. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport Plant. He is survived by several nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Andrew Vargo Sr.; Paul Vargo and John Vargo; and four sisters; Mary Vargo; Mildred Sever; Sue Cassidy and Anne Cupps.
