Samuel Shorter;58;of Pricedale;died Tuesday;July 31;1962; at 11:30 p.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Layton on May 4;1904;but had been a resident of Pricedale most of his life. Surviving are his mother;Mrs.Nettie Shorter;four brothers;Andrew;Sylvester and Melvin of Pricedale and Thomas of Charleroi;one sister;Mrs.Mary Jennison of Rochester;N.Y. Friends will be received at the late home after 1 p.m. tomorrow. Friends will be received at the Pleasant Green AME Church in Pricedale where services will take place Friday;August 3;at 2 p.m. The Rev.M.Henderson;pastor;will officiate.
