Samuel R.Curl;73;of  20 Carson street;Speers;died Saturday;August 7;1948;at 4:23 p.m.  He was a member of the Charleroi Odd Fellows;the Methodist Church at Speers and was an electrician at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Company.  He is survived by one son;Dayton Curl;of Speers;two sisters;Mrs.S.L.Griffith;of Speers and Mrs.Sarah Thompson;of Wilkinsburg.  Three grandchildren also survive.  Friends will be received at the late home until Tuesday; August 10;1948;at 2 p.m.;when funeral services will be held followed by interment at the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Charles L.Melenyzer;funeral director.
