Obituary

Keith Roberts,44,of 311 Speer St.,Belle Vernon,who had been custodian of Belle Vernon's post office over 20 years,died at 1:30 a.m. Monday,May 15,1967 in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Roberts had been ill since December,1966. He was a member of the Christian Church,Musical Society,Sons of Italy,American Legion Post 659,all of Belle Vernon,old Belle Vernon Blue and Gold Cadets and North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept. A veteran of World War II,he served in the European Theater and was the first Belle Vernon area man sent home because of wounds received in action. Mr.Roberts was born in Belle Vernon on Junes 16,1922. Surviving are his parents,Samuel and Leona Amalong Roberts of Belle Vernon,one sister,Mrs.Gayle Briselli of Briidgeville. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Service there Thursday,May 18,at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Bowers and the Rev.Charles Colst,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Baptist Church,officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
