Samuel Carson;79;of 80 Laurel Rd.;Charleroi;died Sunday;March 14;1999;in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Carson was born June 6;1919;in Pricedale;the son of the late Patrick and Martha (Fields) Carson. He was a member of Pleasant Green AME Church of Pricedale and was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel’s Monessen Plant. He is survived by four sons;Donald Warfield of Vacaville;Calif.;Norman Bobby Carson;Samuel R.Carson and Larry Carson;all of Rochester;N.Y.;four daughters;Patricia Henderson of Uniontown;Leila Cooper of Syracuse;N.Y.;and Martha Delain and Ella Gourdine of Rochester;N.Y.;19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Anna Mae Wilcox Carson;and one brother;Albert Carson. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Pleasant Green A.M.E.Church;Pricedale;where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Donald Clisby officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
