Sam Iacovangelo,60,of 112 Prospect Ave.,Fayette City,died Sunday,Jan. 22,1995,at 8:40 a.m. in South Hills Convalescent Home, Canonsburg. He was born JUly 20,1934,in Monessen, a son of the late Michael and Maria DiMaria Iacovangelo. Mr. Iacovangelo was a life-long resident of the Mon Valley. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,and the church choir. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he had served with the U.S. Army. He was a retired salesman for Kelly and Cohen Store in Rostraver Township. Additionally,he was a member of the Fayette City Golden Agers, where he served as choir director. Surviving are his wife, Philomena Flora Iacovangelo; s stepson, Timothy Trasatti of Perryopolis;a stepdaughter, Tammy Trasatti of Belle Vernon; a son, Kevin Iacovangelo of Carroll Township; a daughter, Lori Iacovangelo of Florida; a brother, Domonic Iacovangelo of Speers;and three sisters, Mary Evans of Monessen Mrs. Michael (Jennie) Washchyshak of Charleroi and Rose Iacovangelo of Charleroi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Iacovangelo and a sister, Antoinette Faraci. There will be no public visitation. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,is in charge of the arrangements.
