Obituary

Sam Zeli, 81, of 427 Hill St,
Belle Vernon, died Sunday,
Sept. 3, 1995, at 11:07 a.m. in
his home.
Born April 13, 1914, in Italy,
he was the son of the late Vincent and Laura Catinaro Zeli.
A lifelong resident of Belle
Vernon, Mr. Zeli was a member
of St. Sebastian Roman
Catholic Church.
A U.S. Army veteran of
World War II and a recipient of
the Bronze Star, Mr. Zeli was a
50-year member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659.
He was also a member of the
Belle Vernon Golden Age
Assembly.
He retired in 1977 from the
Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Sceel Corp., where
he had worked as a skilled laborer in the coke plant division.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by two
brothers, Tony and Furman
Zeh.
Surviving are his wife,
Teresa Clausi Zeli, one son and
daughter-in-law, Vincent and
Helen Zeli of Belle Vernon, two
brothers, Bruno Zeli and William Zeli, both of Belle Vernon,
and two grandsons, Lance Zeli
of Belle Vernon and Sam Zeli of
Youngwood
Friends will be received
Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Leonard J Parzynski Funeral Home, 626
Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services in the funeral home at 7 p.m.Tuesday,the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will conduct services immediately following,at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
