Sam Zeli; 81; of 427 Hill St;
Belle Vernon; died Sunday;
Sept. 3; 1995; at 11:07 a.m. in
his home.
Born April 13; 1914; in Italy;
he was the son of the late Vincent and Laura Catinaro Zeli.
A lifelong resident of Belle
Vernon; Mr. Zeli was a member
of St. Sebastian Roman
Catholic Church.
A U.S. Army veteran of
World War II and a recipient of
the Bronze Star; Mr. Zeli was a
50-year member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659.
He was also a member of the
Belle Vernon Golden Age
Assembly.
He retired in 1977 from the
Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Sceel Corp.; where
he had worked as a skilled laborer in the coke plant division.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by two
brothers; Tony and Furman
Zeh.
Surviving are his wife;
Teresa Clausi Zeli; one son and
daughter-in-law; Vincent and
Helen Zeli of Belle Vernon; two
brothers; Bruno Zeli and William Zeli; both of Belle Vernon;
and two grandsons; Lance Zeli
of Belle Vernon and Sam Zeli of
Youngwood
Friends will be received
Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Leonard J Parzynski Funeral Home; 626
Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon;where a Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services in the funeral home at 7 p.m.Tuesday;the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will conduct services immediately following;at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
