Obituary

Salvatore J.Perry,59,of 323 Water St.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,June 9,1991,at 4:50 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Inc.,Carroll Township. Born Feb.12,1932,in Belle Vernon,he was the son of the late John and Catherine Spadafore Perry. Mr.Perry resided in Belle Vernon the past 10 years. A U.S.Army veteran of World War II,he was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the United Steelworkers of America,AARP,Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association,the National Rifle Association,and Loyal Order of Moose Valparaiso Lodge 1357. He retired in 1981 from Midwest Steel,where he had operated an overhead crane. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Ann Marie McConeghy Perry,and a stepbrother,James Sidary. Surviving are one daughter,Christine Perry of Valparaiso,Ind.,one stepbrother,Joseph Sidary of Belle Vernon,and two grandchildren,Larry and Maria Perry of Valparaiso,Ind. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.with the Rev.Donald A.Bowers of First Christian Church,Belle Vernon.officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services in the funeral home at 7:15 p.m.Tuesday. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
