Salvatore (Babe) Tiano,68,of 833 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,May 8,1977 at 3:40 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan.27,1909 in Colton,W.Va.,a son of the late John and Philomena Tiano,and was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. Mr. Tiano retired six years ago from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Surviving are his widow,Martha Smereczniak Tiano,a daughter,Mrs. Lloyd (Sondra) Sechrist of McKeesport;a son,Michael of Fellsburg;a brother,Sam Tiano of Belle Vernon;two sisters,Mrs. Pasqualina Stankovich and Mrs. Theresa Oliver,both of Belle Venron,and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. both days. Services will be held Wednesday,May 11,1977 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home,the Rev.Charles Colas of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
