Mrs. Ruth Peterson Gillie,aged 41 years,wife of Carl Edward Gillie died Saturday, February 3,1945 at 7:30 a.m.,in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,following an operation. Mrs. Gillie had been a resident of Monessen for the past 20 years,coming here from Sweden. She was a member of Balder Lodge No. 52 and the Pythian Sisters. Surviving are her husband and a daughter, Joanne. Friends are being received at the Woodward Home for Funerals,where services will be held Tuesday, February 6,at 2 p.m.,with Dr. R.F. Steininger,pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Dave H. Woodward,funeral director,in charge.
