Mrs. Ruth Whittlesey, 80,of Webster,died Wednesday, April 15,1959 at 12:55 p.m. in the St. Francis Hosptial,Pittsburgh after a six-week illness. Born in Webster,July 17,1879,she had lived her entire life in the Webster area. She was a member of the Webster Methodist Church and the Dames of Malta,Donora Lodge. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Long of Belle Vernon,Mrs. William (Ruth) Read of Monessen and Mrs. Stewart (Margaret) Townsend of West Newton; a brother, Frank Jones of Webster;three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Grant of Donora,Mrs. Robert MacFarlane of Monongahela and Mrs. Lavena Bainbridge of Fellsburg,five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Lawson Funeral Home,Donora,where funeral services will be held Saturday,April 18,at 2 p.m.,with the Rev. H. Robinson,pastor of the Webster Methodist Church officiating. Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Richard Lawson,funeral director.
