Ruth G.Nichols of Belle Vernon died Monday;July 28;1986;at 2:57 a.m.;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp.;after a sudden illness. She was 87. Mrs. Nichols was born July 10;1899;in Albia;Iowa. She was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church;Belle Vernon. Mrs.Nichols was preceded in death by her husband;Isaiah Nichols in 1974;and by a daughter;Ruth;in 1949. Surviving are two sons;John (Jack) Nichols of Perryopolis and Clarence Wendell Nishols of Fayette City;three daughters;Mrs.Elizabeth Miller of Lynnwood;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Georginia Stewart of Ambridge;Pa.;and Mrs.Sara Duda of Arnold City;Belle vernon;20 grandchildren;and 29 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.;Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday until 1:30 p.m.;the hour of services in the funeral home with Pastor Donald H.Swanson of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon;Pa.The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
