Mrs.Ruth D.Abbey,of 602 Maple avenue,Charleroi,died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,Monday,December 2,1957,at 11:40 a.m. She was born in Jewell Ridge,Virginia,June 27,1923. She is survived by her husband,John Abbey;one daughter,Nancy Lee at home;her father,Burley Clifton,of Jewell Ridge,Virginia;two stepsons,Jerry and George Abbey at home;two brothers,Coy Clifton,of Lima,Ohio,Bascom Clifton,of Richlands,Virginia;three sisters,Mrs.Cecil Stone,of Lima,Ohio,Mrs.U.L.Bennett,of Hico,West Virginia,and Miss Lucille Clifton of Lima,Ohio. Friends will be received at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home,where services will be held Wednesday,December 4,at 1 p.m. Rev.Pauline Burke will be in charge,and interment will follow in Belle Venon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock is the funeral director.
