Russell (Ducky) Evans, 67,of 411 Elizabeth St.,Speers,died Wednesday,Feb. 8,1967,at 8:15 a.m. in Brownsville General Hospital. A retired coal miner,he had lived in the Speers area 18 years. Mr. Evans was born at Brownstown on Sept. 24,1899,a son of the late Joseph and Susan Brown Evans. He is survived by a son, Frank R.of Monessen;one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary Jane) Robertson of Speers;four brothers, Joseph of Charleroi,Robert of Monessen, George of Pricedale and Alden of Charleroi R.D.; two sisters, Mrs. James Payton of Charleroi and Mrs. Isaac Jenkins of Charleroi R.D. and five grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home,Charleroi,from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service there Saturday, Feb. 11,at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Charles K. Sowden in charge.
