Russell H.Hall;83;of Gillespie;Fayette City R.D.1;died Tuesday;May 9;1989;at 1:40 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington Township;Fayette County;Jan.14;1906;son of the late Albert and Flora Etta (Scanlon) Hall. He was Protestant by faith. He served in the U.S.Army during World War II and was a member of Brightwell-Daughterty American Legion Post #484;Fayette City. He was a retired coal miner. Preceded in death by two brothers and one sister;he is survived by three sisters;Mrs.Reberta Gillespie of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Irene Fay of Girard;Ohio and Mrs.Gladys Turek of Edinburg;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday until 11 a.m.when funeral services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev.Wayne Boring of Fayette City Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City.
