Russell E.Wilkinson Sr of 116 Long Ave.;Belle Vernon;Fairhope; died Monday;Sept.24;1984 in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 87. Mr.Wilkinson was born April 14;1897 in Hunker;a son of the late Frank and Felishia Wilkinson. He was a retired nailing machine operator in the Box Department of the American Window Glass Co.;Belle Vernon. Mr.Wilkinson was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. He was a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church;Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by a son;U.S.Army Sergeant Samuel M.Wilkinson. Surviving are his wife;Martha Keefer Wilkinson at home;three daughters;Mrs. Jacck (Jane) Fox of Charleroi;Mrs.Arnold (Betty) Anderson of Belle Vernon;and Mrs. Leah Radik of the state of California;six sons;Kenneth Keefer and Russell E.Wilksinson Jr;both of Belle Vernon;William Wilkinson of Charleroi and Lawrence;Edgar and Willis Wilkinson;all of California;two sisters;Mrs.Lawrence (Evelyn) Washabaugh of Youngwood;and Mrs. Lottie Greathouse of Morgantown;W.Va.;20 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren;three great-great-grandchildren;nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev.Walter Kirkland of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
