Rudolph S.(Rudy) Duda;74;of Belle Vernon (Arnold City);died Thursday;Aug.28;1997;in the Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born in Arnold City;Washington Township;on Nov.22;1922;a son of the late Frank and Anna Wal Duda. Mr.Duda was a retired employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.from the Allenport plant. He was a veteran of World War II;having served with the U.S.Army. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a son;Rudolph Duda in 1985. Survivors include his wife;Sarah Nichols Duda;two sons and daughters-in-law;Frank and Suzanne Duda of Fayette City and Kenneth and Barbara Duda of Monongahela;two daughters and sons-in-law;Linda and Bud Aglio of Newell and Margaret and Sam Krolik of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood);10 grandchildren;and a sister;Jennie Nipaver of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home;Inc.;334 Main St.;Fayette City;and Saturday until 11 a.m.;the hour of service;in the funeral home with pastor Don Chudd of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
