Rudolph J. Popelas,47,of 118 Green St.,Belle Vernon,died on Friday, Nov. 21,1969 at 7:15 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr. Popelas was born in Pricedale, June 3,1922. He was a member of St. Sebastian R.C.Church of Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II. He was an inspector in the steam plant of the Monessen plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Survivors include his widow, Janet Failoni Popelas; two sons, Rudolph J. and Gregory P.,both at home; three daughters, Adel M., Joan A. and Janet Susan, all at home; his father, John Sr.,of Belle Vernon, two brothers, John Jr. of Belle Vernon and Thomas of Reading; three sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Ann) Chiste of Smithton,Mrs. Alvin (Agnes) Peternal of West Newton and Mrs. Julius (Mary Jane) Nohavicka of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon after 2 p.m. on Saturday.
