Obituary

Rudolph Fetkenhour, 604 Bluff St., Belle Vernon,died Friday, May 5,1978 in Washington Hospital.  He was 92.  Born in Germany,July 16,1885,he was a resident of Belle Vernon most of his life,and had also lived in the California area for several years.  He was a retired employee of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Blanche Bettler Fetkenhour,on Aug. 9,1957,and two daughters, Irene Fetkenhour and Mrs. Gladys Deems. Mr. Fetkenhour is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Goldie Fazio,with whom he made his home,and Mrs. Virginia Houseman of Belle Vernon;five grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shleby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. R Dawson Hopson,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
